Key appointments and promotions for Monika’s UK office

August 4th , 2014 by

Market-leading wireless monitoring provider Monika has made two key appointments and promoted staff to senior roles at its UK Head Office.

Customer relations specialist John Parris has recently joined the Customer Service team at Monika.

John’s background is in scheduling and logistics having worked for national companies co-ordinating their engineering resource. In his new position, John will be instrumental in delivery of the first-class customer service for which Monika is renowned.

John said: “This is a great opportunity for me, as I get to utilise my skills and experience gained over many years in planning and co-ordinating.

“I love talking to people and helping them to resolve their issues. I believe building great rapport is fundamental to good customer service, and this is always my first aim.”

Financial professional Yvonne Gray, from Shepshed, joins the Monika team as Purchase Administrator.

Yvonne has worked in finance for 20 years, with particular expertise in purchasing. In her new role, Yvonne will be responsible for sourcing the materials and suppliers to produce Monika equipment.

Yvonne added: “With my experience in the industry, I plan to create and develop some great relationships with suppliers and ensure that we are getting the highest quality materials while still giving customers the best possible value.”

In addition to its several new recruits, Monika has undertaken internal restructuring at its Leicester office and Roz Ashley now takes on the position of Customer Service Manager.

Roz came to Monika in February 2014 as a very experienced interim manager and programme support co-ordinator. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge on delivering first class customer service, productivity improvements and Business Change projects.

Speaking about her new role, Roz said: “I’m greatly looking forward to the next 12 months – it is a really exciting time for Monika as we introduces the new generation products, enabling us to exploit many new markets.

“I feel there is a real synergy between the knowledge and skills that I have gained over the years and where Monika wants to go. It is very rewarding working for a company where you can so strongly identify with its values.”

Tim Gamble, Managing Director of Monika, commented: “As a technology company, change is embedded and embraced in everything we do, and we needed to develop the Monika team having recently expanded our product offering.

“We’re very pleased that Monika has attracted two such high-calibre new recruits. The addition of John to our Customer Service department and Yvonne to our Finance department is all part of building a stronger team for the future.

“It’s also fantastic to see Roz taking on new challenges in her career with us; this is a much-deserved development given how much dedication and drive Roz brings to the Monika team.

“After over 20 years in the business, this expansion is brilliant news, on the back of a very encouraging few months for Monika. We are now a mature, established business and growth can be much harder to achieve at this stage of a company’s lifecycle, so I’m delighted to see such growth.”

Monika employs its own team of dedicated engineers and has over 20 years’ experience in delivering temperature and task monitoring. Monika’s clients range from major contract caterers to national supermarket chains and the Houses of Parliament to cutting-edge medical facilities.
